Facilitation of groups

I love teaching and whenever I learn something new, I instantly want to teach it to everyone. But something that I'm even more excited about is to facilitate a group and watch the learning arise from the interaction and the shared knowledge. Here is the definition of 'Facilitator':

A facilitator (from the Latin facilitare – to make easier, to simplify) is a person who creates and maintains the (pre)conditions under which both collective and individual processes of healing and change can begin. The role of the facilitator is often compared to that of a midwife, because although their assistance plays an essential role in bringing about a – whether temporary or final – outcome, they are nonetheless not themselves directly responsible for the concrete result.

This gives the opportunity for everyone to express themselves equally and to be seen by the group. I love bringing people together and turning strangers into a team in one day. The right facilitation can make or break real authentic connection. I have experienced that many times in trainings and exchanges. Usually all that was needed to turn an 'unsafe' group into a safe one, were a few funny and deep exercises. The same people, but a different lens to see each other through.

I believe this is an absolute essential core human need, to connect to others and to be celebrated by a group. Positive group experiences can quickly lessen social anxiety, which is so prevalent today. Are you ready to discover what the right facilitation can do for your group? Write me an email and I'll be there for you. See you soon!

One-on-one support

Creative

Do you need an outside eye on your creative project? Are you feeling stuck in the creation process or do you want to brainstorm the marketing of you as an artist?

You don't have to make art alone. Let's jump on a call and co-create! I have more than enough ideas to share! Your starting point can open up a whole world in my mind, where we can go and pick all of the fruits you like. Whether you need help you with your (screen)writing, your fashionshow, your music album, your photography, film, theatre, dance, etc...be prepared to get a renewal of inspiration and excitement! Since I create in all art disciplines (except drawing/painting), I can also help beyond just talking if you want. We can even meet up to co-create if you work around Amsterdam. Don't doubt, just contact me!

Emotional

Do need someone to just listen to you? Do you have a chronic illness and you want support from someone who has gone through the same? Are you stuck in a conflict with another person and you don't know how to move it forward? Do you want to dive deeper into your feelings, but afraid the emotions might overwhelm you?

I'm here for you with a safe space to carry it together. I'm not a licensed therapist. I'm a human who has gone through many obstacles in life - ten years of chronic illness, isolation, trauma - and in that time I have read countless books to try to heal myself. Books from Joe Dispenza, Tara Brach, Peter Levine, Eckhart Tolle, Alison Armstrong, Michael Mirdad, Ferry Maidman, Eugene Gendlin, etc and I studied Non-violent Communication, Imago Relationship Therapy, A course in miracles, German new medicine and Radical acceptance, to name a few.

What I learned then, from those books and personal experience, is way more valuable than a university study in my eyes. What I was really craving for, was someone just hearing me and being able to sit with me to bare the pain together. Well let me tell you, no one could. People are quick to give advice or tell you it will be alright. That wasn't helpful for me and I was curious to learn what would help. I discovered a process called inquiry, also called focussing (developed by Eugene Gendlin), in a kind of guided meditation, I help you inquire into what you are feeling and needing. I'm present with you, really hearing you. This usually takes between 20 and 40 minutes and is one of the tools I can use. Tell me your specific situation and wishes and I tailor the session to you.
